Secretary of the Treasury for President Clinton, Director of the National Economic Council for President Obama, and Harvard President Emeritus Lawrence H. Summers (PhD '82 LLD '07) has been central to the national debate surrounding inflation over the past year. President Biden signed a historic $700 billion Inflation Reduction Act in August designed to help the environment, strengthen the tax system, lower health care costs and reduce inflation.  Key parts of the tax enforcement legislation grew out of research that Summers and Natasha Sarin did at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Join us on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum for a conversation with Professor Summers, the Director of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government, and Linda Henry (MC/MPA' 21), managing director of Boston Globe Media Partners. They will discuss the landmark legislation and the risks still ahead for the US and global economy.

This event is in special collaboration with The Globe Summit 2022: The Next Boston.
