Documenting War Crimes in Ukraine

Together, The Associated Press and PBS FRONTLINE have been documenting and verifying war crimes on the ground during the ongoing war in Ukraine. In addition to significant reporting – and the potential use in future criminal trials, these organizations have also produced masterful journalistic documentary films chronicling their discoveries and the journeys of AP reporters. From war crimes evidence gathering, to photos, video, and text stories published by news outlets across the globe, to the Sundance Audience Award-winning film 20 Days in Mariupol, AP and FRONTLINE have shared news out of Ukraine with the world across multiple vehicles.

Please join us for this first look behind the scenes at this ongoing collaboration featuring panelists Raney Aronson-Rath (Editor-in-Chief and Executive Producer of FRONTLINE), Alison Kodjak (Global Investigations Editor of The Associated Press), and Erika Kinetz (AP correspondent featured in CRIME SCENE: BUCHA) in a conversation moderated by Nancy Gibbs (Lombard Director of the Shorenstein Center and Edward R. Murrow Professor of Practice of Press, Politics and Public Policy).
