Stephen H. Hess is currently a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institute. He previously served as Deputy to Pat Moynihan in Urban Affairs at The White House and as Director of the White House Conference on Children and Youth. Mr. Hess also served as White House Special Assistant to President Eisenhower, Assistant to Senate Minority Leader, Thomas Kuchel and on the staff of Richard Nixon's California gubernatorial campaign.
