Donald Trump out and Joe Biden in the White House, is American politics and government going back to “normal?”  Janet Hook, who has covered politics and Congress for decades for the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal, will lead a discussion of the post-Trump era as Joe Biden’s presidency is launched amid economic, health and social crises. What is the lasting impact of Trump on the country? This study group will span much of Biden’s first 100 days, and will analyze this crucial period as it happens.

STUDY GROUP #2: Whither the Democratic party? Joe Biden ran as a political moderate in the 2020 Democratic primary, but former Bernie Sanders supporters and other progressives rallied to help him beat Donald Trump. What is Biden's relationship with the progressive movement like now and where is he leading the party?

Janet will be joined by Faiz Shakir, Campaign Manager of Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign.
