Description

Meeting Method:
In-Person

Join us on Thursday, September 23 at 5:00pm ET for a Study Group with IOP Resident Fellow Holly Kuzmich

No Child Left Behind: A Slogan or Real Policy?
These next two sessions will explore policymaking through the lens of K-12 education.  No Child Left Behind was passed in 2002 with overwhelming bipartisan support. The successor of that law was the Every Student Succeeds Act in 2013, which built off many of the principles of No Child Left Behind but also updated the law and changed it.  This first session will dive into the initial passage of No Child Left Behind, exploring its passage, how it gained bipartisan support, and the unique coalition of strange bedfellows behind it.

*RSVP by 10:00am ET on 9/23 You must register through this form and a limited number of seats will be allocated for in-person participation. We will notify you at noon the day of the study group via your Harvard email whether you will be joining in-person or via Zoom.
