Roy Hattersley, Member of Parliament (Labour) from Birmingham, England has been Minister of Defence since 1969 and is now Deputy Opposition spokesman for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. His former appointments include Joint Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Labour, Director of Campaign for a European Political Community, Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister of Pensions and Member of Sheffield City Council.
