The Harvard Votes Challenge (HVC) is a non-partisan movement that aims to take the ‘challenge’ out of voting on and beyond Harvard’s campus! Our eight teams (Advocacy, Organizing, Data & Tech, Collaborations, Strategy & Operations, Boston Votes Coalition, Communications, and Democracy Day) work together to help Harvard VOTE (Voter Outreach, Turnout, and Engagement). Our many projects include on-the-ground organizing work, creative advocacy projects, developing our relational organizing tool Votable, and creating strategic messaging for our social media accounts. Through weekly team meetings, work sessions, speaker events, and tabling opportunities, our members learn valuable campaign and leadership skills and help us get out the vote on campus. Beyond generating civic energy at Harvard College, HVC partners with other Harvard University graduate and professional schools, peer institutions in the Boston area and the Ivy League, and the Boston community at large.
