How do I request an absentee ballot?
Absentee ballots can be requested by a voter, or by a voters immediate family member or legal guardian, from their Supervisor of Elections. Ballots can be requested in person, over the phone, by mail, or by written request. Absentee ballot applications may also be found on a voters Supervisor of Elections website. What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot?
Absentee ballot requests must be received by your Supervisor of Elections by 5:00 pm October 31, which is six days before the general election.
What is the voting procedure?
You may either have your absentee ballot mailed to you, or you or a designated person can pick up your ballot from your Supervisor of Elections starting November 1 (up until November 6). Once you have your ballot, complete and sign it and mail or hand deliver it to your Supervisor of Elections.

Are there any requirements for first-time voters?
Yes. First-time voters who registered to vote by mail and did not provide ID with their voter registration must provide a copy of their ID with their absentee ballot request. Acceptable forms of ID include one of the following: a copy of a picture ID with a voters name OR a current utility bill, paycheck, bank statement, government check or government document with a voter’s name and address on it.
