Environmental Action Coalition
The Environmental Action Coalition will provide a forum for students interested in the intersection of environmental science, activism, and politics to discuss topics of climate change, climate policy, groundbreaking research, and more with the current leading experts in the field. Weekly meetings will include roundtable discussions with ranking professionals in the field and expose students to what a career in climate policy can look like. The small size of the program will create an intimate experience for participants to build personal connections with each other and the speakers, with the potential for future research or work opportunities.
Community is also a central tenet to the climate coalition, and like-minded students will meet up frequently for socials to build community (with free food, of course!). We are a welcoming community for those of all backgrounds and academic interests, and encourage everyone—including those with no experience in government or environmental science—to apply!
