Summer 2024 Director's Intern - Dylan Phan

Originally from Philadelphia, Dylan Phan is a Harvard College sophomore pursuing a double concentration in Government and History & Science as well as a secondary field in Global Health & Health Policy.

Beyond academics, he is deeply passionate about improving legal aid services to maximize access to justice, especially in labor, immigration, and health law. Accordingly, with The Right to Immigration Institute, he works on political asylum cases by drafting legal documents, crafting case arguments, performing research, and interviewing clients. Additionally, he serves as Director of the Harvard Undergraduate Legal Committee, a legal aid nonprofit that offers such services from its ~200 members to public interest law organizations; he teaches the legal aid training for incoming volunteers, manages partnerships, and oversees finances. Furthermore, he is a Senior Advisor for the Small Claims Advisory Service, providing legal information for clients in small claims cases using his knowledge of labor, housing, consumer, auto, and personal dispute law. By interning for the U.S. Department of Labor's Solicitor's Office, he hopes to gain incredible experiences to complement his vocational endeavors in public interest law.

Outside of legal aid, you can find him working out or visiting museums.
