
Young Americans are turning from TV to social media as the main sources of entertainment and news. In April 2015, our poll asked millennials which social platforms they use. The results may surprise you.
Facebook remains the most-used platform among millennials. 83 percent of millennials reported having a Facebook account. And nearly all college students reported being on Facebook, 88 percent.
Instagram and Pinterest see significant gender divides. 53 percent of female millennials have Instagram accounts, compared to only 34 percent of males.
Snapchat is a favorite among younger millennials, 42 percent of 18 to 24 year olds and 55 percent of college students have Snapchat accounts, while it lags behind among the late-20s set, only 1-in-5 25 to 29 year olds have Snapchat accounts.
