Please Note: This internship is co-sponsored. This means the funding for this internship is provided by two institutions at Harvard. The Primary Affiliation is with the Harvard Global Health Institute (HGHI), and the Secondary Affiliation is with the IOP. The primary institute (HGHI) will be the point of contact during the application and internship onboarding process. As such, applications for this placement will be processed by HGHI and count towards the HGHI's three-application limit.

This opportunity awards a $14,750 stipend.

The Stop TB Partnership envisions a world free of TB and works to ensure access to diagnosis, treatment, and care for all. Founded in 2001 and hosted by the United Nations, it brings together global, regional, and country-level partners to end TB by 2030. The Partnership advocates, catalyzes, and facilitates collaboration among stakeholders; supports the development and scale-up of innovative tools; and ensures equitable access to TB diagnostics and treatment.

The internship is part of the Stop TB Partnership Secretariat in Geneva, supporting advocacy, communications, partnership building, and political engagement with national authorities and multilateral organizations.

The purpose of the internship is to support the Stop TB Partnership’s efforts to generate political and financial commitment to end TB as a public health problem, with emphasis on advocacy, communications, and partnership-building.

Program Details

  • Contribute to advocacy and communication efforts at global, regional, and national levels.
  • Support Secretariat activities across multiple projects in various countries.
  • Engage with multilateral organizations, national authorities, and TB stakeholders.
  • Social Media: Propose content and tactics to increase engagement.
  • Website: Review webpages, propose enhancements, and create curated content.
  • Content Development: Draft social media packages, blogs, news, articles, scripts, and other communications.
  • Publications: Support development of reports and flagship publications, including editing content and creating visuals/infographics.
  • Event Management: Assist with preparation, implementation, and follow-up of events, briefings, webinars, and meetings.
  • Other Support: Provide general administrative support, schedule meetings, take meeting minutes, and assist the EDO with projects.
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking.
  • Passion for TB and global health.
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Proficiency with computer and software applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
