Program Details

The Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) is seeking a highly motivated intern or fellow to support its mission of advancing the rights, freedoms, and wellbeing of women and families across the country. Interns will assist with communications, policy research, event coordination, and digital content development, gaining firsthand experience in how a Congressional caucus operates and advocates for gender equity. Ideal candidates are passionate about women’s rights, detail-oriented, and eager to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-impact work alongside the Democratic women in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Moderate Supervision: Intern will meet with their supervisor regularly, but will be given the opportunity to work on independent projects.

The DWC team is small but mighty which provides interns with the opportunity to contribute very impactful work. We have 4 full-time staff and interns report to all staff, typically specializing in either Comms or Policy to help divide work. Interns have the opportunity to meet other offices' staff giving great opportunity for networking. We also typically host interns from other programs so interns leave with new friends outside of their cohort.

This Director's Internship Host will host additional undergraduate interns outside of the Director's Internship Program.

We always need help in the digital space so any experience writing social copy, filming, photography, making graphics, or video editing is wonderful.

  • Access to high-speed Wi-Fi
  • Laptop on loan from host organization
