Overview

Compass Family Services leads the way in helping San Francisco families facing homelessness secure stable housing and attain economic self-sufficiency and family well-being. We have been service innovators for more than 100 years, and more than 90% of the families who complete our housing programs achieve lasting success. The Development team at Compass ensures that the programs at Compass and the families they serve have the resources they need to thrive. Through fundraising, grant writing, volunteerism, and community engagement, the development team fosters relationships within Compass and beyond to achieve lasting success.

The work environment at Compass is very passionate, genuine, friendly, and hard-working. We are an organization that sees people as people. Our intern cohorts enjoy being treated as equals by staff, both by getting to know their colleagues, as well as through the trust that staff have of intern's abilities. Cohorts in the past have also enjoyed chances to attend corporate partner events, as well as building camaraderie with other interns.

This Director's Internship Host will host additional undergraduate interns outside of the Director's Internship Program.

Comfort with excel is preferred but not necessary. The most important skill from an intern is an excitement to learn and a desire to help those in need.
