In-person or Remote depending on mutual preference. Suggested weekly meetings, at least one in-person meeting, plus mid-term and final presentation of intern student's outcomes

If selected as a finalist, applicants may be asked to submit the following directly to the Host Organization:

Program Details

  • Participation in regular academic life at the department (2-3 meetings weekly both on-site or on-line);
  • Ability to hybrid cooperation in a culturally diverse academic background;
  • Openness during performing field research in migratory and refugee communities

Moderate Supervision: Intern will meet with their supervisor regularly, but will be given the opportunity to work on independent projects.

University open space with other interns as well as PhD students of different ethnic backgrounds; regular 1-2 weekly meetings, but the ability to work remotely during weekdays; supervised field studies in a remote field research location at the Polish-Ukrainian border area.

This Director's Internship Host will host additional undergraduate interns outside of the Director's Internship Program.

  • Local language proficiency (i.e. Polish, Ukrainian or any other Central European language);
  • Ability to perform field research in the area of migratory and refugee issues;
  • Flexibility in cooperation in an international academic environment
  • Access to high-speed Wi-Fi
