
Originally from New York, Thalia Orphee is a rising sophomore in Cabot House. Thalia wants to concentrate in either Government or Economics with a citation in French, and she plans on attending law school in the future. At Harvard, Thalia is Development Chair for the Association of Black Harvard Women. She is also involved with the Politics of Race and Ethnicity Initiative at Harvard's Institute of Politics in the capacity of social chair. She tutors recent immigrants through PBHA and will be Head of Finance for Harvard's Identities Fashion Show. Thalia is interested in working at the intersection of politics and macroeconomic policy and wants to gain insight about how governments can work to improve the economic future of developing countries. She is excited to explore this interest in international development as an intern at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
