Sydney Steel is a rising sophomore in Quincy House from Sun Valley, Idaho. Sydney intends to pursue a concentration in Government, with a secondary in Economics and a language citation in French. Outside of Harvard, Sydney has served on the board of directors for Girls on the Run, a non-profit that helps teenage girls develop confidence through exercise. On campus, Sydney is an active staff writer for the Harvard Political Review. Additionally, she works as an IOP Research Assistant for David Gergen at the Harvard Kennedy School. On her days off, she can be found reading in Lamont Library or running along the Charles. Sydney is thrilled to apply an analytical lens to foreign conflicts and learn more about broadcast journalism during her internship this summer with CNN's Fareed Zakaria.
