Solange Azor a junior in Currier house, originally from Yonkers, NY. She is pursuing a degree in Women, Gender, and Sexuality with a secondary in Sociology. On campus she is the President of the Stand Up Comic Society and performs comedy on campus and in and around Boston. She is also the junior education director for the Consent Advocate and Relationship Educators - one of the peer counseling groups on campus, has done assisted research on religious responses to gun related violence in New Orleans at the Radcliffe Institute for Advance Study. This summer, Solange will be interning with Lady Parts Justice - a reproductive rights/comedy activist group based in NYC. She is excited to learn more about intersectional approaches to issues related to reproductive health, and how comedy can be used as a tool for political activism.
