Reed Shafer Ray

Reed Shafer-Ray is a rising senior in Quincy House, originally from Norman, Oklahoma. They concentrate in Social Studies with a secondary in Mathematical Sciences. On campus, they are the Legislative Director of the Harvard College Democrats, plays on the club soccer team, writes for the Harvard International Review, and does research for Professor Yascha Mounk. Last summer, Reed worked for Public Citizen, a non-profit dedicated to fighting corporate power, and the Enough Project, an advocacy organization focused on preventing crimes against humanity in central Africa. Reed hopes to pursue a career at the intersection of academia and government affairs, and they are excited to positively contribute to the well-being of Massachusetts citizens in their work in Senator Eric Lesser's office this summer.
