Raquel Leslie is a rising junior at Harvard College from Danvers, Massachusetts, concentrating in Government with a secondary in East Asian Studies and a citation in Mandarin Chinese. On campus, she is a research assistant at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, a Peer Advising Fellow for freshmen, and a tutor for Harvard employees seeking US citizenship. Last summer, she interned at Junior Achievement China in Beijing, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills in promising students. This summer, Raquel is excited to be designing migration systems in Afghanistan to facilitate access to foreign labor markets and reduce poverty at the World Bank.
