Palmer Smith

Palmer Smith is a rising junior in Eliot House from Nashville, Tennessee. He is concentrating in the History of Art & Architecture with a language citation in Spanish. Following several education-related internships in high school, he began working as the assistant for fellowship recruitment at the Center for Education Policy Research during his freshman year. This past January, he participated in Teach for America’s “Four Weeks for America” program where he served as a classroom assistant in Chelsea, Massachusetts. In addition to these activities, Palmer is also a member of Harvard Model Congress, the Harvard Undergraduate Art Journal, and served as a liaison to IOP fellow Mark McKinnon. This summer, he hopes to further his interest in education policy and teacher evaluation as an intern with the office of Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter.
