Minnie Jang is a rising senior at Harvard University from Ellicott City, Maryland. She studies History & Literature with a secondary in Global Health & Health Policy while also following a pre-medical track. Her concentration's region of focus is Latin America, and she is in the beginning stages of research for a senior thesis that will examine the history of the Peace Corps in Bolivia with particular emphasis on indigenous women as players in this narrative. Outside of the classroom, Minnie enjoys giving tours for the Admissions Office, volunteering as a case manager at Y2Y (youth-to-youth homeless shelter), and leading pre-orientation trips for incoming freshmen with the First-Year Outdoor Program. Throughout college, her experience working with NGO’s like Partners in Health and Physicians for Human Rights has further developed her interests in the fields of medicine and global health. This summer, she is excited to continue developing those interests by joining the team at PAI, an organization based in Washington D.C. that works to advance and defend reproductive rights for women around the world.
