Maya Park

POLITICO, Washington DC
2015

Maya Park is a rising junior in Dunster House and proud Brooklynite. At Harvard, Maya concentrates in history with a secondary in dramatic arts. When not reading or talking about gender, she is involved in the arts community as a proctor of the Freshman Arts pre-orientation Program, the assistant choreographer of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, and a teacher with CityStep—an organization that brings dance and improvisation into Cambridge Public Schools. She has written for the Crimson’s Fifteen Minutes Magazine, facilitated Harvard’s inaugural SexuaLiteracy program, and will be joining Room 13 as a peer counselor come fall. Last summer, Maya interned at the Maru-a-Pula school in Gabarone, Botswana. This summer she looks forward to a reporting internship at POLITICO, where she will have the chance to synthesize her passion for nonfiction writing with an interest in politics and how news is made.
