Maria Perez Franco is a rising junior in Currier House studying Economics with a secondary in Sociology. She was originally born in Guatemala, but grew up for most of her life in Dallas, TX. On campus, she is Co-Executive Director for the Latina Empowerment and Development Conference put on by Latinas Unidas. Along with this, she works as a Diversity Peer Educator under the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and as a Student Coordinator for the Harvard First Generation Program for the Office of Admissions & Financial Aid. Outside of school, she loves to walk her dog and go on road trips with her family. Maria is thrilled to be working with ELA this summer and combine her passion for empowering women, social justice, and Latin America.
