Marella Gayla is a rising senior from New York City. She studies American History and Literature, contributes nonfiction features to The Harvard Advocate, and edits Fifteen Minutes, the weekly magazine of The Harvard Crimson. Her work has appeared in The Marshall Project and VICE. She will spend this summer writing at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
