Madison Whitney is a rising junior originally from Los Angeles, California. She is a joint concentrator in Government and African American Studies, exploring the ways in which government policy can perpetuate and alleviate racial inequality. On campus, Madison is co-chair of the Education Policy program at the IOP, Political Action Co-Chair of the Association of Black Harvard Women, a Research Organizer with the Harvard College Democrats, and a volunteer with the Small Claims Advisory Service. Madison is looking forward to interning with the NAACP this summer in Baltimore and advocating for people of color through public policy.
