
Madeline Magnuson, is a rising junior in Kirkland House concentrating in Government with a secondary in Modern Middle Eastern Studies and a language citation in Arabic. Madeline is fascinated by international and domestic politics, corruption, nuclear weapons, the Middle East, and political philosophy. She grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho and had her first close encounter with the federal government as a US Senate page in Washington, DC Her experiences there further piqued her interest in government, ultimately leading to her internship this summer with the Sunlight Foundation. Madeline looks forward eagerly to advocating for government transparency, learning about the intricacies of campaign finance, and absorbing everything she can from her work with the Sunlight Foundation.
