Lexi Smith is a rising junior in Pforzheimer House from Atlanta, Georgia. She is a joint concentrator in Government and Environmental Science and Public Policy with a focus on the environmental impacts of agricultural policy. Lexi currently serves as the Director of Pets as Therapy, the Co-Chair of CIVICS, and the Earth Day Coordinator of the Environmental Action Committee at Harvard.  She also sits on the board of the Harvard College Democrats, serves as Director of the UN Environmental Programme at Harvard National Model United Nations, and plays flute in a chamber group at Harvard and in a studio at the New England Conservatory.  This summer Lexi will be interning with the Sierra Club in their trade division based out of Washington DC.  Lexi views this internship as the perfect opportunity to bridge her interests in environmental science, law, and policy and looks forward to learning from such an effective environmental advocacy group.
