Lauren Volpert is a rising sophomore in Lowell House concentrating in History of Science with a secondary field in Visual and Environmental Studies. At Harvard, Lauren serves as a editor for Flyby, the student life blog of The Crimson. She is also Director of New Media at the Harvard Public Opinion Project and works on the board of the Harvard Leadership Magazine as Director of Social Outreach. She plays club tennis at Harvard and can often be found in the Carpenter Center making art. This summer, Lauren will be interning at Treatment Action Group, an HIV/AIDS and TB research and policy think tank in New York City. She is excited to work at the intersection of global health, advocacy and science to assist in developing policy recommendations for modernizing the standard of care and treatment for TB/HIV patients.
