Lauren Greenawalt

Lauren Greenawalt is a rising junior in Quincy House from Bainbridge Island, WA. She is concentrating in Sociology. Lauren is a member of the Harvard Public Opinion Project, a Dorm Crew Captain and a CIVICs teacher. She is very involved with Harvard Model Congress and is the Director of Outreach and Mentoring for HMC Boston. Lauren's love for public service was fueled by her two gap years where she worked, full-time, for City Year- an AmeriCorps program. This summer, Lauren will be working for the Youth, Education and Families Institute at the National League of Cities. She looks forward to researching and sharing best practices around how municipal leaders can support young people and families. She is also excited to help plan regional summits relating to the Achievement Gap as part of a new partnership between the National League of Cities and The U.S. Department of Education.
