Julissa Higgins is a rising sophomore, originally from Miami, Florida. She is a prospective History and Literature concentrator pursuing a secondary in Economics and a French citation. After an intensive high school journalism program, she became convinced that journalism is the art form for the curious, and she now wishes to pursue a career in media. On campus, Julissa reports for the Crimson's Fifteen Minutes magazine, has co-chaired a committee for Harvard Model Congress, photographs for the Harvard Yearbook publication, and has created a women's fashion and lifestyle magazine focused on female empowerment and gender equality. Julissa is excited to work with TIME Magazine covering the 2016 presidential election this summer.
