Amnesty International, Washington DC
2016
Jorge Ledesma is a rising sophomore in Currier House originally from Westfield, New Jersey. He is a likely Social Studies concentrator with a secondary in English. He is quite involved in the IOP, serving as a teacher in the Civics program, as well as a liaison in the Fellows and Study Groups program this past year, and also serves as a volunteer at the Y2Y shelter. Interested in advocacy work of any kind, Jorge looks forward to learning more and applying his knowledge of human rights through his work with Amnesty International this summer. Jorge hopes to ultimately pursue a career in law and government, and he looks forward to being a part of both of these processes in the interim.
