Joon Lee is a rising sophomore at Kirkland House hailing from Seoul, South Korea. He is a prospective concentrator in History and Literature, and is interested in investigating the intersection of arts and politics. On campus, Joon serves as the Education and Politics Chair of the Harvard Radcliffe Asian American Association and is a member of the Harvard Advocate, where he serves on the Executive Board. Joon has had an interest in journalism and non-fiction writing his entire life, beginning with his time as Editor-in-Chief of his high school newspaper and continuing on with internships at The Concord Monitor and the Center for Political Communication at Seoul National University. Joon is excited to work for and learn from his time at the New Republic, especially in an age where the indispensability of good journalism is becoming increasingly apparent.
