Jonathan Jeffrey

Office of the US Trade Representative, Washington DC
2015

Jonathan Jeffrey is a rising senior from Sonoma County, California. At Harvard, he studies history and serves as a research assistant to Professor Nicholas Burns, the former U.S. Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs. On campus, Jonathan runs the Harvard CIVICS program, an initiative that places dozens of undergraduates in Boston areas elementary schools to teach a comprehensive, yearlong civics education curriculum. Recently, he was appointed to Harvard College's new Honor Council, after serving on the drafting committee to create the College's first-ever Honor Code. A proud resident of Mather House, Jonathan serves as co-chair of the Mather House Council, overseeing house-based extracurricular and social programming. He is also a member of the Institute of Politics, the Phillips Brooks House Association, and the Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) Board of Directors. His hope is to someday work in diplomacy.
