
Joanne Dynak is a rising junior in Currier House from Chicago, IL, concentrating in Government. Her focus is on law, human rights, and how technological innovation can intersect with government, politics, and effective regulation to improve access to basic care and overall quality of life. Joanne's long-standing dedication to public service and community outreach reflects in her involvement in a variety of campus organizations. She is a term-time intern at the Harvard Law School Office of Public Interest Advising, provides helpful legal information to low-income Massachusetts residents a member of the Small Claims Advisory Service, and connects students to public service resources and inspiring speakers as a Public Service Student Representative for Currier House. She is also an active member of the Institute of Politics, where she enjoys contributing to the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum Committee as a social media analysis director, is a proud alumnus of the Women’s Initiative for Leadership program, and supports the overarching goals of the IOP as a Member at Large. This summer, she is excited to work within HHS’ Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs, where she will engage with the Department’s cooperation with local and state governments and NGOs to more effectively support its mission of expanding access to health care resources, improving health policy, and meeting the specific needs of communities across the country.
