Jin Park

NYC Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs, New York NY
2016

Jin Park is a rising junior concentration in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration and Rights. He was born in South Korea and immigrated to New York City, where he has lived ever since. At Harvard, he teaches with PBHA's Chinatown Citizenship to prepare recent Chinese immigrants preparing for their naturalization exams and has formed a nonprofit called HigherDreams, which aims to make access to college education more equitable for undocumented high school students in the US. This summer, he will be working in the Office of Immigrant Affairs in the NYC Mayor's Office, on a direct access program to provide health care to immigrants in NYC. As an immigrant himself, he is incredibly thankful for the opportunity to provide compassionate and coordinated health care to immigrants in NYC.
