Parliament Labour-Rachel Reeves MP, London UK
2015

Jessica Barzilay is a rising senior in Dunster House. After growing up in sunny Los Angeles, Jessica now lives in New York, where she enjoys exploring the city, and especially the Museum of Modern Art. She concentrates in History of Science, focusing on intersections of technology and society, with a secondary in English. At Harvard, Jessica is the Sciences Editor and reporter for The Crimson, Harvard’s daily newspaper. She is also the Director of Design and Branding for Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business, involved with social innovation initiatives, like the Igniting Innovation Summit on Social Entrepreneurship, and serves as Peer Advising Fellow to freshman students. Last summer, Jessica interned at the White House, which inspired her to continue exploring pathways in public service. This summer, she is thrilled to be interning for Rachel Reeves, MP for Leeds West and Shadow Secretary of Work and Pensions. Jessica is excited to better understand the Parliamentary system, support services to constituents, and become well-versed in the art of British teatime.
