2014
Jasmine Burnett is a rising junior in Lowell House, concentrating in Government and pursuing a secondary in African American Studies. Because of her own experiences in school growing up, she is particularly interested in the development of policy initiatives aimed at establishing universal equity in education. This summer, she hopes to learn more about policymaking, and how principals and teachers fit into federal policy goals, as she interns with the Department of Education, Office of Communications and Outreach. Outside of class, Jasmine works for The Harvard Financial Aid Initiative, volunteers with PBHA's Small Claims Advisory Service, and is a senior staffer for Harvard Model Congress.
