Hillary McLauchlin is a rising junior in Pforzheimer House from Tampa, Florida. She is pursuing a joint concentration in Social Studies and East Asian studies with a focus on contemporary China and Chinese language. On campus, she writes for The Crimson’s magazine Fifteen Minutes, directs a Harvard ESL service program, serves as a Peer Advising Fellow, and helps direct Harvard College China Forum. Last summer, she worked in Shanghai at Junior Achievement, an international NGO, where she researched curriculum and led educational initiatives. Interested in both public policy and academia, she looks forward to conducting research with the Tobin Project this summer.
