Federico Roitman

CIPPEC, Buenos Aires Argentina
2016

Federico Roitman is a rising junior living in Adams House. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Federico moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts at the age of five and has lived here ever since. He is concentrating in Government, primarily focusing within the department’s comparative politics subfield and is especially interested in studying authoritarianism and citizen-led resistance to unfair policies and government abuse. At Harvard he is primarily involved with the Harvard Radcliffe Dramatic Club and is a weekly volunteer at Y2Y, a youth shelter based in Harvard Square. He was also a member of the IOP’s Harvard Public Opinion Project in spring 2016. This summer Federico is thrilled to be returning to Buenos Aires to work at CIPPEC, the Center for the Implementation of Public Policies Promoting Equity and Growth, and Libertad y Progreso (the Liberty and Progress Foundation). He is excited for the opportunity to engage with his home city in a new way and learn about the issues Argentinian organizations are working to address.
