
Eva Shang is a rising junior in Eliot House from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. An Economics concentrator with a secondary in Sociology, Eva is passionate about prison reform, especially in the area of juvenile justice. She is the Executive Director of the Student Alliance for Prison Reform, a national coalition of students working in prison reform, and has led campaigns against juvenile solitary that garnered over 20,000 signatures. At Harvard, she directors a tutoring program at a medium-security women's prison and is the co-founder of HOPE, Harvard first prison reform advocacy organization. She is excited to spend the summer in criminal investigation at the DC Public Defender Service, where she will continue the fight against mass incarceration on the ground.
