Diego Garcia is a Class of 2020 Quincy House resident pursuing a degree in Government with a secondary in Economics. Originally from Northern Virginia, Diego has been active in the Institute of Politics since before he had even arrived at Harvard, attending Summer in Washington events before his freshman year had officially started. Since that point, he has served in a number of roles in the leadership of the IOP, including as Communications Director on the Executive Board. Outside the Institute, he serves on the board of the International Relations on Campus program, is an active member of the Colombian Student Association, and interns term-time for Governor Charlie Baker. While he is considering law school, Diego is currently exploring the different pathways into a career in politics and public service, including campaigns, communications, and national security. In his (limited) free time, Diego enjoys hiking and is an avid traveler.
