David Kilstein is a rising senior in Eliot House from Pennington, New Jersey. He is concentrating in History and Literature, with a focus on the United States and a hemispheric focus on Cuba. On campus, David volunteers at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter and DJs for Harvard’s student-run radio station, WHRB. He is a proud alumnus of the University of Havana, having studied in Cuba during the fall. David is highly interested in American politics and education. He previously worked in Miami as a Teaching Fellow for Breakthrough Collaborative. Having gained this experience in the classroom, David is looking forward to working with the US Department of Education to effectuate educational change nationwide.
