Cyatharine Alias is a rising senior studying sociology and pursuing her middle school science teaching certification through the Undergraduate Teacher Education Program. Throughout the year, she is mostly found in the Phillips Brooks House either planning events or making sure that the Mission Hill After School Program is ready to run. This summer she will be returning to the Summer Urban Program for the 3rd year. Previously she had been a senior counselor and director for Chinatown Adventure. In pursuing her love for middle school aged youth, this summer, Cyatharine will be co-directing Leaders! She will be working with the high school aged junior counselors, mentoring and supporting them throughout the summer. She is especially excited about the community action projects in which these youth pick up and rally behind a topic of importance and interest to them and their communities.
