Aula Cívica, Santiago Chile
2017

Anthony Aybar is a rising sophomore in Lowell House pursuing a concentration in mechanical engineering. Born in the Dominican Republic, he has lived in New York City for most of his life before attending Harvard. On campus, Anthony has participated in the IOP PRE (Politics of Race and Ethnicity) program where he contributed in discussions of issues of intersectionality in America, as well as interning in the offices of Boston City Council President Michelle Wu. After school Anthony hopes to take what he learns in school to use technology to help improve the lives of people in impoverish areas as well as committing himself to serving the communities of New York City. This summer Anthony is excited to intern for Aula Civica helping teach children in Chile the principles of civics to encourage active citizenship
