Alex Cox is a rising senior in Quincy House from Arlington, Virginia. He is concentrating in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations with a secondary in History. Since arriving at Harvard in 2012, he has developed a passion for public transportation and urban planning, and is extremely excited for the opportunity to improve public transit throughout the Commonwealth this summer with MassDOT. During the academic year, Alex is most involved with the Harvard University Band, where he has served in the positions of Cinematographer and Prop Crew Manager. He spends a lot of his free time running, exploring Boston on the T, and studying different transportation systems around the world. After college, Alex hopes to pursue a Masters in Urban Planning and work as a transportation planner.
