ABOUT US: Deviant Content, Inc. is a new entertainment company that exists at the intersection of Hollywood, academia, and LGBTQ+ activism. Deviant Content was founded by Dr. Eric Cervini, an award-winning LGBTQ+ historian and New York Times bestselling author, who is currently producing and co-writing the television adaptation of his book, The Deviant’s War, with a major production company and streaming service. He is also researching and developing several additional book, film, and television projects in the realm of LGBTQ+ history. The ideal candidate will bring superb organizational and research skills, a literary eye, a passion for history, and a commitment to progressive activism.
RESPONSIBILITIES & PROJECTS:
- Assist with research for various book and television projects
- Organize, summarize, and tag digitized archival research
- Conduct literature reviews
- Collect and analyze quantitative historical data
- Prepare interview questions for oral histories
- Summarize and/or transcribe interviews
- Explore and propose new LGBTQ+ history projects
REMOTE WORK ENVIRONMENT: Interns can expect project-based deadlines and a high degree of both autonomy and flexibility. They will have the opportunity to assist in areas of their own particular interest, including but not limited to screenwriting and archival research.
TIME ZONE: PT
WORKING HOURS: There is flexibility regarding which hours the intern works.
