United States Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus addressed the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum on a range of issues revolving around the military’s relationship with the civilian bloc of America and academia. He spoke particularly about the Navy’s ROTC program at Harvard. Secretary Mabus also commented on his role in the Navy’s continued advances in ensuring diversity and equality regarding gender, race, and sexual orientation. Harvard University President Drew Faust delivered the welcoming remarks after which Secretary Mabus presented Faust with a sabre for her contributions to the Navy.
