Jay Walder, Chief Executive Officer of the Mass Transit Railway Corporation of Hong Kong and former Chairman and CEO of the NYC Metropolitan Transportation Authority, presented the Gustav Pollak Lecture with an introduction from Iris Bohnet, Professor of Public Policy and the Academic Dean of the Harvard Kennedy School.  His speech covered topics from public transportation to sustainability and the urban future. Walder also responded to audience questions about the cost of public transit and the influence of governments on mass transit systems.
