Nuclear safety and security remain issues of vital importance 10 years after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident and 35 years after the tragedy at Chernobyl. Experts and officials continue to debate the lessons learned from these events and their impact at the local, national, and global levels.

Join us for a conversation featuring International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi. This discussion is being held as part of a three-day conference marking the anniversaries of Fukushima and Chernobyl, hosted by the Belfer Center’s Project on Managing the Atom. HKS Lecturer David Sanger, White House national security correspondent and senior writer for The New York Times, will moderate the discussion.

RSVP here to join the conversation in the virtual JFK Jr. Forum.
